Dr Syed Kashif Hussain Kazmi is a Consultant Endocrinologist, Diabetologist and Obesity Specialist with over 25 years of clinical experience across Ireland and the United Kingdom. He holds Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians Glasgow (FRCP, 2021), Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI, 2009), MRCP in Endocrinology & Diabetes from the Royal College of Physicians London (2018), and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Diabetes & Endocrinology from the East of England Deanery, Cambridge (2019).
Dr Kazmi completed his senior specialty training (ST5–ST7) at Addenbrooke's Cambridge University Hospital — one of the UK's foremost academic medical centres and a regional centre of excellence in endocrinology. During his training there he organised Adrenal and Pituitary Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings for the entire East of England region, supervised junior doctors, and taught Cambridge University medical students.
Dr Kazmi worked as a Consultant Physician at Northwest Anglia Foundation Trust from 2019 to 2025. Since 2025 he runs a private endocrinology clinic in Cambridge and serves as Consultant Physician at Oviva UK, specialising in Tier 3 complex obesity management and GLP-1 therapies including Wegovy and Mounjaro. He has supported over 3,500 patients through structured weight management programmes.
Dr Kazmi has presented and published at the Society of Endocrinology, the European Congress of Endocrinology, National Clinical Cases London, and in the British Journal of Cardiology — 8 peer-reviewed contributions in total. He works in close collaboration with Dr Kalyar's cardiology service for patients with cardiometabolic conditions.
From early training in Ireland to consultant appointments at leading NHS trusts, Dr Kazmi's career spans progressive specialist endocrinology practice across Ireland and the United Kingdom — from Naas to Cambridge.
He currently holds consultant posts at Oviva UK and runs a private endocrinology clinic in Cambridge, alongside his Sunday private clinic in Naas, Co. Kildare.
Dr Kazmi has presented and published at leading national and international endocrinology conferences, and contributed to peer-reviewed journals and institutional clinical guidelines. 8 publications and presentations to date.

Comprehensive assessment and ongoing management of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, including complex insulin regimens, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and technology-assisted diabetes care.
Medical obesity management including structured GLP-1 receptor agonist programmes (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro). Evidence-based, consultant-led weight management with metabolic and cardiovascular risk assessment.
Full thyroid assessment and management — from common conditions such as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism to thyroid nodules, goitre and post-thyroidectomy follow-up.
Assessment and management of pituitary conditions including pituitary adenomas, hypopituitarism, acromegaly, prolactinoma and pituitary-related hormonal disruption.
Specialist assessment of adrenal conditions including adrenal incidentaloma, primary hyperaldosteronism, adrenal insufficiency and Cushing's syndrome — with coordination of surgical referral where required.
Specialist outpatient assessment and management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and PMOS, with focus on metabolic risk, insulin resistance and evidence-based hormonal management.
Assessment and management of testosterone deficiency and male hypogonadism following thorough hormonal investigation. Treatment decisions are individualised and made through shared decision-making.
Assessment and management of osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, including fracture risk assessment, DEXA interpretation and initiation or review of anti-osteoporotic therapy.
Broad endocrine assessment for unexplained hormonal or metabolic symptoms, abnormal blood results, or complex multi-system conditions requiring specialist evaluation beyond primary care.
